Dry Eye Syndrome occurs when there aren’t enough tears produced by the eyes, or the tears that are produced do not contain enough of the lubricants required to moisturise the eye effectively.

It is typically more common in older individuals, but can be a factor in the healing of the eyes after LASIK. Dry eyes can affect the clarity of your vision, so it is in your best interest to use artificial tears liberally for at least the first few weeks after surgery.
